Jesus!

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Big problems, little problems, worries, concerns, and don’t-know-what-to-dos-we all have them! A problem can be like a weight, bearing down on our hearts and minds to the point of sorrow, anxiety, even depression. When I have a situation in a relationship, for example, it often begins with the question in my head, “What am I going to do?” I don’t know how to move forward when I am in the middle of a relationship mess. Or any other mess for that matter.

Last year at this time, I was still reeling from the emotions of losing my Dad to cancer. Hate that ugly, disgusting disease! I lost both of my parents to that enemy of the human race, Mom in 2010 and then Dad in 2014. And we believed and still currently believe that God not only can, but already HAS provided all we need for healing from cancer or any other disease that rears its ugly head.

My problem last year at this time was what to do with the “estate” as it is referred to in South Carolina law. And the estate problems could have potentially caused relationship problems with others. It felt like an ENORMOUS problem at the time because I didn’t know what was over the next hill…where would I turn? How would I move forward? Financially, things were not secure in order to complete the tasks ahead of me properly. Like my pastor when I was growing up, John Osteen, used to say, “But God!”

We can fill in any sentence with that phrase:

  • I can’t believe this relationship is over. I don’t know how I’ll go on. But-God does!
  • I do not have enough money to cover all my expenses. I can’t do this. But-God can!
  • I feel so sad all the time. I see no way out. But-God knows the way!

Our Heavenly Father provided the way for all of us in everything. That way is JESUS! We come to the Father through Him. It’s the difference between Christianity and every other religion. Every other religion, man finds his way to the “solution.” Being a Christian, or really a Jesus-Follower, means that we look to Him for the answer. He is all-knowing and will give us the answer to any problem in life!

Prayer: Father, I ask you for the solution to my problem. {Tell him about your personal problem(s)-even though He is already aware. Just take a minute to bare your soul to Him.} I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I want Your solution for my every problem. I trust You now for my answers. Thank you for hearing and answering me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
